Cardboard Hexagon Lamp

Is it weird if I have a thing for corrugated cardboard? Maybe it’s weird. I don’t know.

Anyway, my goal for this project was a laser cut, cardboard light fixture. I’ve seen some interesting concepts that use a laser cutter to cut shapes out for a light assembly, and I felt inspired.

That said, I wanted to take the idea and explore my own aesthetic, which typically involves hexagons. I also have a thing for hexagons.

Although I don’t have a finished project yet, here are a few process photos to get the idea across.

Can you see what I’m getting at? You will. I promise.

Wow, that’s gonna look sharp when you’re finished. Do you know how you’re going to hang it? I bet it’ll cast some interesting shadows on the wall when it’s all lit up.

This seems like it will be really neat when it’s done. I like that you’re using a laser cutter to make it all very precise and give it a clean, geometric aesthetic.
