Construction Timeline: Gear Clock

Progress for my final project needs to rapidly progress to meet the final deadline for the project. The proposed deadline to meet the requirement will be as follows:

  • April 8th – Material/Components Purchased and CAD Finalized
  • April 15th – Material Cut and Stepper Motor Working
  • April 22nd – Final Assembly and Aestetic Application (Painting/Weathering Techniques)
  • April 29th – Final Presentations

The schedule that I have laid out for the rest of the semester is cutting it a little close. Learning from my past projects and starting these tasks early in the week to allow for the unforeseen problems that will arise.

I think you have a good grasp on your project at this time. As always there are going to be some unexpected issues that may arise but it seems that you have a pretty good grasp on what could possibly go wrong. I think that you should stick to your timeline, and account for the 7x factor that we talked about in class.

It is good to see that you are starting this early to avoid any possible delays that may arise in the assembly of this project. Im curious how long you think that this might take you and how much extra budgeting you might be doing to make sure that you will have enough time to complete the project.
