  • I like the new look of your lamp, it is so simple, minimal and very practical, the most impressive thing is it’s made from parts that are easily avaliable, can be assembled in no time and can be powered by many things, I can see many people find many different uses for it, great!

Your ability to pivot with this project was really something. It’s a shame that bending the wood didn’t work as you had anticipated but I think your new lamp design was really sweet too. It looks like something that could be marketed and sold by IKEA! Very professional. The simplicity of the design definitely lends your lamp to falling into your aesthetic. The natural feel and look and geometry would definitely allow this product to blend in with nature. Sweet stuff man!

Great project, Max! I’m impressed with you ability to adapt from your initial design and prototype to the final object. I’m sorry to hear that soaking the wood worked to bend it, but it would shatter when left to dry. In your redesign, your aesthetic remained and you were able to make an awesome project. I love your aesthetic too. As you said, it’s a Danish aesthetic called Hygge which “Blends nature with a modern design.” It uses a natural interior wood design, and it looks awesome! It looks like it could go in a log cabin or a modern organized office. Overall, this seems like it turned into a garage engineering project, but it worked out great so nice work!

I think that you did a great job adapting throughout the project. It was unfortunate that your original idea did not work, but you did a great job in redirecting the project and staying on target. I like how simple it looks, and I think that you have come up with a really cool idea for a light design. I think my favorite part of your project is how the wiring really doesn’t look messy and the light works really well. Great work!
