I absolutely love the time and care you put into the project to make it look authentic. The aesthetic you went for is great and the process you used to achieve it is commendable. I saw it launch at the expo and it was great to see so many people fascinated by the model! Kudos

Job good on your project! The overall aesthetic of your trebuchet is very realistic of a weathered battle weapon. The fact that your burned the wood is super cool. Your wood working skills are also super apparent in the trebuchet: you used several techniques and the interfaces all look they align really well. Lastly, this project is very dynamic: its super cool that the trebuchet is capable of launching a projectile. Its too bad that you struggled with the counterweight, but its very cool regardless!!

The aesthetic is really good, and I love how you used an actual torch to get the rugged aesthetic. We should play age of empires sometime!
What was the toughest part? Seems like you did a lot of calculations. I love the fact that you used it to play fetch with your neighbors dog.
The AOE video was pretty entertaining too!

Kick ass presentation! I always like to see a video in a presentation – it takes a break from reading slides. Nice demonstration!

The look is spot on, definitely matches the images of trebuchets that I have in my head. It seems like you certainly reached your aesthetic goals, a period piece that looks battle-worn and ready to deal some damage! It was cool to see people interested and wanting to launch it at the expo.

This project is so cool! I love Age of Empires and can’t think of a better inspiration for your project than that game. The aesthetic you choose for this project is perfect. I really like how well the appearance turned out on the trebuchet, it looks like it has been through war. The functional aspect of this project is really neat, it would be really cool to build another one so you can have an actual battle.

Age of empires is the best!! It came out really well and I like the scale! I like the look of the wood and how you burned the wood! I think we should scale it up and make a full size real one 🙂

The trebuchet seems almost authentic! Great job. I admire the burning you did to the wood in order to make the trebuchet appear worn. I am also impressed by the distance the trebuchet can hurl projectiles, no wonder a full-scale model can hurl 90 kg projectiles over 100 meters!
Great job modeling and putting together the piece, it seems sophisticated as a result.
