Wine Bottle Holder

I was throwing a lot of ideas around about what I should create for the upcycle project. I knew I had and an old wood palette in my backyard and I thought that would be a good idea to put that to use. The wood has a dark color to it, it looks kind of industrial so I had the idea to make a wine bottle holder with it.

While scrolling through some interior design of industrial aesthetics, I noticed a lot of ladders. So I thought I could somehow incorporate a ladder shape into the wine holder. I also have collected small steel pipes that I plan to put through the wood in order for the wine to rest on.

I plan to have 4 pieces of wood as the foundation. Through those 4 pieces of wood I will drill holes big enough for thin steel pipes to fit through and that will be where the wine bottles sit.

I really love this concept, Nicole. Those bottles are obviously in desperate need for proper storage, since they can’t really be sitting around on the counter. The idea of using wood and steel make sense for me. My only concern is having the bottles hung by their spouts, which may cause breaking due to gravity. That’s my only thought, other than that I am truly rooting for this project!

I love the aesthetic that you are going for in this project. It’s very industrial rustic, which is the kind of home decor I’d like to have in my house in the future. I also like the idea of a ladder shape. I look forward to seeing the final design.
