Upcycle Inspiration: Speaker Landscape

For my upcycle project, I wanted to make use of a broken bluetooth speaker and make a landscape on top of it. My inspiration behind this project is when I kept seeing those miniature cities in movies, and I always wondered how cool they are on a large, 3-D scale. nb

My original intent for this was to create the entire city out of old newspapers. I am still thinking if I should do that or not because I am not quite sure how to execute it properly.

That’s a very interesting and unique idea. I think you can also use cardboard as the base of your structure too. Another idea is using a bunch of fabric layers to make some sort of hills in the design. I am excited to see how it turns out!

Maybe you can embrace the different typography built on the old speaker you have, make the holes ponds or lakes and build bridges across them. Or maybe you could imitate your home city or the city of your dreams? You should believe in yourself and this project will make you feel rewarded. It’s a very creative idea that only you came up with, therefore you should own it and don’t be scared of execution!
