Main Project Inspirations

For my Final Project I am between doing three things the first is designing and building a gaming chair like the ones seen here:

This would be very valuable and add to the gamer aesthetic I have going in my house if I could create it well. The biggest challenges would be what material to use and what extra flavor I could add to it to fit me more.

The second thing I’m interested in doing is something for a cosplay design that resembles two swords with a specific design but also adding in a lighting aspect that would pulsate to create an effect similar to the show. The title picture shown has the swords I am wanting to design and you can see the hex pattern there which is where the lighting would occur. The challenges here would be what material to create the sword with to allow it to be durable and pass as a replica along with coding the lights and having a switch to activate it. The switch would have to be near the handle along with an Arduino of some kind to orchestrate the light effects.

The final idea that I have for my project would be to create a rubber band gun using cardboard similar to quality like this:

I’m unsure what I would create if I went this route, perhaps even a different prop of a show using this technique and applying paint then if the design isn’t hyperrealistic.

Hopefully I’ll be able to come to a decision soon so I can worry about obtaining materials/designing what I want to create.
