Vision:

After my preliminary review and the destruction that is COVID-19, I am unable to physically complete this project this semester and therefore will be turning in a final rendering of this item. Some of the comments and suggestions that I am contemplating are adding chicken wire to ensure that items on the shelves do not fall out or making essentially an acrylic basket to sit in the pipe holders so that viewers can see the objects (most likely plants) inside. Finally, the last change that I am considering is making a triangular stand that can be rotated to both stand on the ground or to be mounted to a wall.

    Presentation Comments:

Permission opinions – I would love to see the same shape of the shelves but instead of the wood have a clear tub or open acrylic box to put your plants in so you can see the roots growing from all sides as your rotate the shelves. Good job!

Hi Jamie! It’s super unfortunate that all of the machining facilities that you were intending on using for this project closed down for the semester! When the project does finally get developed, I’m excited to see how this device could be used to change the light exposure of different plants, especially if it’s placed next to a window. With the amount of plants that you have in your house this may make it easier to water them while also being able to keep them close to the windows for light.
