Inspiration – Sacred Geometry

Mandala Sacred Geometry Home

The inspiration for my main project is sacred geometry. While working with perforated sheet metal, I noticed that two sheets with the same hole pattern creates interesting patterns when rotating in relation to each other. The resulting pattern is an array of dynamically changing hexagons.

I was first introduced to sacred geometry through the seed of life design. I’ve always been fascinated by mandalas and the end-result of combining different geometries. Speaking of mandalas, I wonder if they would work the same way with a moray effect? That could be another cool design consideration.

As an admirer of geometry, both sacred and not, myself, I think this is magnificent inspiration for a project. Geometry is such a powerful tool, and I’m excited to see how you put it to use in your project.
