Nixie Clock | 3/16 Progress Report

Nixie Update! I’ve received all my components in the mail, and need to schedule a few hours in the electronics lab to start soldering. Some sweet photos:

Nixie Tube! I love the look of these. I haven’t seen them fired up yet, but I can’t wait!

Empty board! This will be split down the middle, and then all the parts (a LOT of them) will be soldered to it.

This is why I need to make sure I fully understand what’s going on before I start soldering… a casual 170v just hanging out next to the 5v line.

My schedule says I need to be finalizing my enclosure design this week… so lots to do. Senior Design is culminating this week in a massive testing week with our client, so I’m thinking I’m going to be a little behind… but my schedule should allow for me to catch up next week!
