Upcycle Progress: Corian Update

I am still unsure on what design I will do for my Corian Upcycle project but I have found two designs that I think that I will go with. The first design is a box used to hold accessories for my playstation. It will have a section that holds video games and a section that holds controllers. It will be made completely of Corian and I intend to have my initials seamed into the top of the box. The color scheme for the box however will be limited due to the lack of color variety available at the shop. I was thinking of a simple blue and white combination. My second design is a simple four sided pyramid structure that contains a candle or a small light. the material I will be using  is not technically Corian but it is still a solid surface material. That material will work for this purpose better because it it allows some light to pass through making for a great lamp depending on the intensity of the light.

Here are a couple or rough sketches of the two design I am thinking of using. I am still unsure of the dimension.

I think its very admirable that you are making something for your girlfriend! She is one lucky gal! The sketches look really nice excited to see the final product!

Project sounds awesome! I like your use of multiple views that allows for a solid development of understanding at what kind of project you are going for. A little more explanation on where you got the idea from would have been helpful, but good job!

The project sounds interesting. Nice to hear a functional use for leftover pieces. I would recommend explaining the aesthetics of Corian. I would assume that the majority of people don’t know what it is.
