Skill Set and Aspirations

Being an engineer my skill set consists of everything learned from classes and projects. This includes, but is not limited to, CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting and any machine used throughout the past few years.

In my spare time I try to work on small projects of my own, workout, shoot archery, or learn a new language. I like relaxing at times, but I also like attempting to learn new things that stretch my minds capabilities. I am also focused on reading books that can help me reflect on my life and improve my leadership abilities.

I want to apply my mechanical engineering degree in the defense industry. This is due to the fact that I have always wanted to pursue a passion that is impactful. I possess a strong love for robotics and development, and hope to help people through this. By providing defense industries with more efficient technology for things like bomb disposal, or assembly, I believe I can better the world and protect the people I love.

  • Rachel,
Thanks for sharing about your skills and aspirations. However, I feel like most engineers have CAD experience, 3D printing practice, etc. What sets you apart is truly your passion for electronics and robotics. These are very sought after passions in today’s expanding world, and I think you will aspire to great things with your goals. I am looking forward to seeing how you advance these skills in years to come.
