Final Project: Modern Industrial Desk Organizer

Modern Industrial Desk Organizer

My final project was a desk organizer designed around a modern industrial aesthetic, using both wood and metal elements. The main structure was built using plywood, which I assembled with wood screws to create a strong frame. I then added welded metal supports and brackets to reinforce the design and emphasize the industrial style on the 4 corners of the organizer. The organizer features clean geometric forms, including straight lines, rectangular compartments, and a simple, functional layout. After constructing the frame, I installed additional shelves and folder dividers to improve organization and usability. I used wood glue to fasten the folder organizers to the frame. To complete the look, I applied a walnut wood stain to give the piece a natural finish that contrasts with the exposed metal components. This project challenged my woodworking and metalworking skills, and I’m really happy with how the final product turned out!  Here is the link to the full journey and documentation on Unrulr.
