I made a poker inspired wall decoration, the idea was two create two larger cards, a king and ace of spades made of different materials. I laser cut the cards from an aluminum plate and wood sheet. I added tinted plastic behind the letters and symbols so that LED strips on the back can shine through. I also added a colored finish to the wood to make it look more polished. The electronics consisting of a red LED strip, LIPO battery and power switch are held in a 3D printed casing on the back. Felt fabric lined the print and a poker chip was added to enhance the aesthetic. Future work: mount it to a wall and switch the power source to a wall plug.
The aesthetic was Las Vegas poker.
