For this project, our group decided to take inspiration from old Porsche designs. We thought the rounded shapes and simplicity of the design felt like something we would see in modern electric cars.
It was a bit of a struggle for us to create rounded shapes with cardboard, but we were able to succeed by adding inner supports and scoring sections to bend. We added a thin sheet of cardboard over the top to smooth out the connection points between our separate pieces. Our final car looks a little frog-like, but I would say that’s an accurate rendition.
