This is my electric car project! MY team and I based our design off of retro cars and tried to diverge from modern electric vehicles.
“B” Car of the Future. Team 7: Allison Zulkoski, Isabelle Hoff, Finn O’boyle, Mewael Ahmedin. Our team did some creative sketches that involved both modern and classic design language. We were able to decide on a specific car design and start cutting cardboard on the first weekend! I luckily was able to have a neighbor to just bought a couch and had all this cardboard. We went with the ‘box-ier’ design and added electric car design elements such as lack of grill, and overall aerodynamic design.

The ‘B’ car has been created! We took the approach of measuring each panel from our solidworks model, tracing, and measuring each panel as closely as possible. During class last Friday, the majority of the teams as able to meet up and begin assembling each panel of the car together. We used a mixture of hot glue, and super glue to bond every panel together. We ran with the cardboard/paper construction and used white paper cups for the headlights which really helped it stand out from the rest of the car. The team had a great idea to rip the top layer of the cardboard to reveal its wavy inner structure which we used to add texture to the front of the car.

THE B CAR IS ALIVE! (Named after the beloved Mr. Bean.)
