Final Stretch Progress: Dynamic Infinity Mirror

Right now I am current sitting in the prototype lab of the Idea Forge printing the casing for my dynamic infinity mirror. I have spent the past two weekdays here making sure everything goes smoothly and so far everything has! I only have one part left to print, which I will leave overnight because it will take so long to print (~10 hrs). At the end of printing, I will have been working the Lulzbot for ~23 hrs. Light Up Pearl: Final Design Report Part 2

I believe I accomplished the main intent I was going for with this project, but it didn’t turn out aesthetically exactly how I had envisioned it to. This was due to a combination of lack of skills and money. I had very ambitious goals for this project and wanted to create/design something I had never done before. With that in mind, I did have to be mindful of the skills I already possessed versus learning new skills. I had originally wanted my design to have…

I was planning on 3D printing my buildings for my project and letting the LED lights shine through them, but the 3D printing is proving too be too…

Contemporary Industrial Coaster

As a personal fan of the contemporary industrial aesthetic I wanted to capture it within my upcycling project. I appreciate the simplicity of this aesthetic, but also how it doesn’t sacrifice strength or quality. I wanted something that would be useful in my life, but also add a subtle intricacy that was not immediately evident. I chose to make a common household item, the drink coaster.
