Projects Overview

Upcycle Project

My Upcycle Project was to create terrariums out of discarded old kitchen glassware. I was going for a modern Bohemian vibe, where it took the floral, warm, and cozy notes of the Bohemian vibe and mixed it with the clean, smooth lines of modernism. I took a coffee craft and a sugar shaker and turned them into my upcycled terrariums.

Main Project

My main project was to create an organizer system for all my coffee accessories. I wanted to create something with a rustic Bohemian aesthetic. I ended up going with a tabletop shelf system to store my 3 sets of different dual-walled cups and a small drawer at the bottom for all the other miscellaneous accessories like the portafilter, tamper, and cleaning tools.

Reflection

This class has been a transformative experience. I am proud of my ability to overcome creative blocks, explore new techniques, and bring my concepts to life. The projects pushed me to adapt, think critically, and develop a more refined creative voice.

Of course, there were challenges along the way. From initial design struggles to technical obstacles, I learned the importance of persistence and continuous iteration. These experiences have not only improved my technical skills but also strengthened my problem-solving mindset.
