I have decided to make a candle holder that has a hexagonal shape, on the sides it has different designs from my inspiration in the last post. The constrains are the following:

  1. How to come up with the specific designs to use
  2. How to cut the designs
  3. Where to acquire material from(colored glass/plastic)
  4. Rotation mechanism
  5. Prevent candle from burning the inside of the housing

Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks

I am curious how the rotation of the candle holder will be incorporated in the design. Also i am curious about the burning of the candle and how this will be prevented in the design also. I am interested to see how this design comes out in the end. Hopefully all of the constraints can be hit!

For the rotation mechanism, are you planning on having it freely rotate while the candle is burning or just having it move to light it? Good luck with the project, I hope it turns out great!

Hi there! First off, this sounds like a pretty creative idea. I think, though, that it may be helpful to explain why these are constraints and how you plan to overcome them. It seems like 3/5 of your constraints are related mainly to aesthetics and I think that is a very wise choice. Definitely focus on the aesthetics of your candle holder and the functionality will follow. I am curious about how you plan to make this project dynamic. Is the use of a candle in the holder your dynamic element? Best of luck!
