Personally, I think the final form of the aesthetic is seduction. People say art is all about seduction. I disagree that it is not solely that but it does one of the biggest parts of aesthetic and human life. Where is the mecca of the seduction? Party, nightclub, Discoteca, lounge, or etc. You name it. I enjoy the tension between men and women in a venue like that and want to make a device that creates a good environment to enjoy even more.

This device is essentially a tall cylinder soundbar that light creates customizable light beams with all spectrum of light. Ideally, the device will place in the middle of the circular room so that the shadow of your body will portrait the dancing on the wall by the light from the side of the soundbar, and the ceiling will be projected by the LED lights with user picked motivational words moving around by the top side of the soundbar in the matching tempo of the current music This is ideal so I am not sure how to make this in my budget.

I love how you’re planning on using the controlled lights as the big factor for your aesthetic. I agree that it does invoke feelings and emotions. This will definitely be a wonderful piece to create.

  • Hi Jaehyung,
This is a very interesting aesthetic and I love your explanation of it. I like how the aesthetic you chose evokes strong feelings and emotions on top of the basic level of style and design. Also, I like the use of the computer controlled lights. It has a nice level of complexity without being overly complicated. Anyways, I am excited to see your end result and good luck on the project!

Computer controlled lights are really cool and it’s an awesome idea to integrate that into a sound bar. There is ways to get lights to sync to music through things that respond to different MIDI controllers, maybe that will be worth looking in to?

This is a really cool aesthetic. What would happen if someone was in the way of the person being portrayed on the wall by the light? Maybe the concept could mirror just the closest person by movement tracking (kind of how Wii tracks movement).
