Jamie,
This is a really interesting project and I wish I could have seen it earlier, because I would have shown you this crazy thing that I saw a few years back: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1z2V96tMxIeyWnMvm-4N6L22b_aEatW5E/view?usp=sharing . It is a giant rotating drum on which plants are hanging. The cool thing about it is that it supposedly dips the bottoms of the pots into the river as it rotates. While this would certainly result in over-watering, it is a pretty cool idea. I bring this up because I think that it would be interesting to incorporate a watering feature in future versions of the project.
Overall, I think that your project is really cool and the aesthetics are well developed too. I really like the fact that the stand is able to be wall mounted instead of just upright on the floor. One thing that I am wondering is if there is some kind of positive lock or stopper that would hold heavier plants higher up if need be?
I know that you have a lot of plants in your place, so this certainly seems well suited! Nice job on the project and I hope you are actually able to build it some day!
Hi jamie,
I really like this design! As someone who has a lot of plants I think it would be really cool to display them in this way, furthermore I think it would be a really creative way to control the amount of light the plants get and rotate them to make that each plant gets the necessary amount of light without having to actually move the plant pots a lot! once all of this is open and you have access to more resources do you think you will actually make this artifact?
