See Lily’s 2026 Aesthetics of Design Electric Car Project

Initial Ideation: We started off our project by each putting together some sketches and words that define electric

cars to us to share next time we met. When we did meet we discussed how the main elements were things like smooth looks, continuous, glowy, and a modern look to it. We ended up thinking of taking it in a different direction and go heavy in the angles and unique look. Others decided to make a 3D model so we could know how it looked.

The Process: We met up the first time and made the base of the car with the model in mind. We started with the sharp angular modern elements. Since we had the base all put together (and we ran out of time) we decided to leave the hot glue to be secure and meet up again to add details. The second time we met we focused on adding more dimension and some style elements. We decided it looked really flat and to take some inspiration from a Dodge Challenger and add to the hood of the car. It still felt kinda boring so we moved on to headlights to add some more funkiness and personality. That is when we decided it looked like a shark!

The Final Piece: During our last meeting we finished up the headlights, added a light bar, made a little logo, and a back windshield. The final has lots of sharp angles and a futuristic vibe to it. The logo had some inspiration taken from a hammerhead shark since that is what we really think it ended up looking like. Overall, super happy with it, it’s unique and fun!
