For this project, our goal was to design the front of an electric car that doesn’t necessarily look like an electric car. We took inspiration from some high-performance electric cars as the front usually looks pretty aggressive, unlike regular electric cars.
Assuming we would use the front grill to redirect air over the windshield, we believed that this would make the car more aerodynamic and give it more downward force. We decided to use this idea to help create our final design.
Using cardboard as our medium, we created roughly what we imagined our car to look like. It is a little taller than expected, but overall, we believe that we created a front end that represents a more aesthetically pleasing electric car.
