For this group project, we set out to design an electric car that pushes beyond the aesthetics of what exists today. We spent a lot of time discussing what visually defines an electric car — the front light bar, the somewhat Tron-inspired aesthetic — and how to build on those cues in a fresh way. A key focus was celebrating the absence of a front engine by opening up that space, while introducing a subtle break in the front light bar to add variety and visual interest to the front end.
My role centered on the overall aesthetic of the front end, as well as helping fabricate the physical model — including navigating some of the more technical challenges of getting the curves just right. I’m really happy with how it came together, and incredibly grateful for the team I got to work with.
