Main Project Inspiration: Ryan Daniel

For my main project I want to create an infinity mirror. I’ve seen these before online and cant remember the first time I saw the creation but I have included several videos that I have found inspiring recently. The concept of the mirror is pretty simple, there is a mirror and a partially reflective mirror that bounce light off one another creating the infinite look. Many of the ones I’ve seen online don’t have a super deep illusion effect so my goal is to try and make the most infinite appearing mirror possible. I plan to achieve this by using high quality mirrors to really ensure the light is getting reflected as much as possible. To make this mirror even more dynamic I want to use chasing LED strips.

I really like the idea of using chasing LED lights. I think it’d be pretty neat if you program the LEDs to light up in some sort of sequence. This could kinda give the appearance of the inverted bars of a music equalizer. Although I am not sure how feasible it is for you. Anyway it looks pretty cool and I am looking forward see your take on this.

Dude. This is sick. I think this would be so dialed. Have you thought about if you want the mirror to be able to run on batteries or will it have to be plugged in for the LED lights to work? I’m looking forward to seeing how this turns out!

This is really neat! I am also using a mirrors and lights in my project, but for a very different function! Is this something you can hang up or is it more like a box that has to sit on a table or something? You said its pretty simple, but seems complex to me! Are you going to display it in your home? Also, are you considering multicolored lights like in the photo, or going with a particular color pattern or single color?
