So excited about how this turned out! Seeing it in person at the Expo was also awesome. It’s definitely a good height for standing, but like you said, could be shorter for a standard sitting desk height. Overall, you’ve put in a lot of design work and construction time into this. Awesome job!

This project was very cool. I like that you used concrete to make the base. Untreated concrete has such a distinct look that it really makes the project stick out. I wish that I had made something that I would be able to use on a daily basis like a piece of furniture. Good job!

This is a very interesting project that is also is very useful. I really admire the nature theme that you used within the project. I feel like the use of wood really is calming. Overall this was a really cool design. I think that you should add an umbrella to the project.

I am really impressed with all of the thought that you have put into this project. I think that you were able to achieve the aesthetic that you were going for. I also liked how you were able to troubleshoot and add the shelf holders as legs. Great work

Your project was very well thought out and your design sketches really showed that. I really liked your method for adding the legs to the base just by concreting supports in and then screwing into them. That was great solution to your problem that I think is rather unique. I also think utilizing cement in a piece of furniture is very cool and it really helped display your aesthetic. The wood top turned out fantastic and I really like the stain you chose for it. Great job!

Nice work. I really could see this being a functional and useful table. Great documentation of the implementation process. The interior of the movement mechanism looks like its well thought through and precisely made. One thing I would change if it was remade is the height of it, it seems a bit tall which is causing it to weight more. Also could use less concrete to minimize the weight, other than that it’s a great project thanks you for you’re effort.

You nailed your aesthetic! It seems like you were a little disappointed with the functionality, specifically the height. Do you wish you would have made a more complex mechanism for raising and lowering the desk, maybe without manual labor? Also, I’m sure you wish you could have designed the base a little lighter. Either way, your aesthetic came out really well and I cannot wait to see it at the expo!
