What is your Upcycling project?

For my upcycling project I will being using recycled PLA from the ITLL to make a nature inspired aesthetic pencil holder. I was recently doing research on wood-based PLA and thought this would be really interesting to do.

What is the aesthetic and why?

The aesthetic is nature. I saw some post that cross nature and modern, so I thought it would be interesting to do a mix of PLA (modern) with nature looking extrusions.

    This is a cool concept! That reference image you put is amazing! Are you leaning towards including details of that intricacy, or are you still designing the exterior of the pensil holder? Are you planning to have a “wooden” appearance entirely, or planning on incorporating colors related to the nature aesthetic as well (like greens)?

      At the moment I am unsure, because this is an upcycling project, I will be stuck with whatever PLA the itll has recycled. But if I have time, I will try to paint it

    Super dope awesome idea. Since you are going with this nature aesthetic, have you thought about putting a plant in it and making it a planter? Honestly, I might do this because it would be the coolest pot ever. Very innovative idea to use wood filament. Where in the ITLL has this? You are going to have to show me because I want to copy your idea for a gift:D
