Nature inspired PLA pencil holder update

Currently for my project I am planning on combining the aesthetic of nature and modern by using recycled PLA. The idea is to make a pencil holder similar to that seen below

The main problem I will have, as this was generated by AI. Is how to get the non-uniform aspects to show up on SolidWorks.  As many of you may know, SolidWorks like symmetry and to do a tree with leaves requires being asymmetric which it may not like.

To give it my best attempt, I have been watching videos on how wrap a design around a surface and also give it texture.

This appears to work on normal extrusions, but I will see how it behaves on a wrapped surface!

  • Can’t wait to see the final product! Good luck with the SolidWorks aspect. I am not sure how you are going to replicate this sort of design in CAD but regardless it is going to be super cool when it is done. Worst case, make the design a bit simpler to make the CAD less time consuming.
