For my project, the top 5 things I want to achieve are:
-
Polished and Wearable β I want my project to look sleek, like something you’d wear on the mountain, but also out and about.
-
Sleek, Clean Design with Nature-Inspired Colors β A balance of style and functionality, with earthy tones that blend well in natural settings.
-
Functionality β It should function well as both clothing and a shelter, providing real utility for outdoor situations.
-
Modularity β I want the design to be adaptable and multifunctional, with the ability to transform easily between different uses.
-
Blend-In β It should blend in with its surroundings but still look stylish enough to wear in urban settings.
Iβll know Iβve succeeded when it looks good and serves its dual purpose of providing shelter while being wearable. The functionality and versatility will be my key indicators of success. Iβm prioritizing making sure itβs modular and functional first, then refining the look once I have those elements down. Itβs all about creating something that not only works for outdoor adventures but also fits seamlessly into everyday life.
As for constraints, the top 5 Iβm facing are:
-
Sewing Knowledge β Iβm still learning, and the lack of experience might slow me down.
-
Cost of High-Quality Materials β Waterproof, durable fabrics can be pricey.
-
Waterproofing β I need to find the right materials and treatments to ensure it holds up in the rain.
-
Time for Testing and Refining β Iβd love to test and tweak it, but time constraints are going to make this challenging.
-
Limited Ability to Test Over Time β Ideally, Iβd test and improve the design over several months, but that wonβt be realistic with this timeline.
Itβll be tough balancing all these, especially the time and testing aspects, but Iβm pushing forward with functionality as my top priority for now. If I can balance the aesthetics, practicality, and modularity with the constraints I have, Iβll be happy with the result.

I like your outline and view on your project. It seems you have a very detailed picture of what you want. How do you think your final project will reflect this picture.
Your project sounds great! I love the balance of style and functionality, especially with the modular design. Good luck with the time and testing challenges!
I like the specifications you laid out for this project. They are simple yet meaningful. Do you think that the final version met your original specifications?
