Final Update: 100%. I am finished with the memphis milano mirror frame! It took me a lot of work to complete, but I am very satisfied with the result. I initially started out with two sheets of plywood that I drew on since my previous idea of a cnc machine doing some of the work didn’t pan out. I then cut out the middle hole with a hand saw (cut the frame in half to make it easier), followed by cutting out the outside, and then cutting a bunch of different pieces that I was planning to wrap in fabric later on. While I was doing that, I did use a cnc machine to cut out a small divit from the larger plywood which I used to lay the mirror into. Then, I wrapped some of the pieces but found out that I also wanted to paint some for a second texture, so I painted about half of the pieces instead of wrapping them. After I decorated the wood pieces, I did a “dry setup” where I placed them in a general position so I could pick up the pieces and hot glue them without messing up the positions. Finally, I hot glued the middle for a “caulking” effect and also glued the back for more support. Overall, I am super excited to show it off tomorrow!

Below are some photos detailing the final outcome, my ideation process, and the physical work that went into making the mirror.
