For my upcycle project, I chose to buy three small junk boxes and lather them with concrete. This resulted in a brutalist planter, complete with the sharp, square structure with a nice, textured concrete surface. It holds up to three small plants, and has pebbles on the bottom to allow for water evaporation and to prevent plants from sitting in standing water.
It exhibits the brutalist aesthetic in the following ways:
1. Rough texture
2. Concrete
3. Distinct, square forms
4. Imperfections that add to the aesthetic
