I made this record player as an exploration of the Brutalist aesthetic. I used a record player I thrifted, tore it apart, and rebuilt and rewired it into a concrete case. The lid of the record player doubles as a stand for it to rest on when being used.
Along with the record player, I thrifted a side table that was COVERED in layers and layers of old paint and questionable coatings. I originally wanted to paint the whole thing with concrete, to match the record player, but after discovering walnut and birch underneath the paint, I decided to sand the whole thing down to its original wood.
