Very nice project! It was great to see such a simple item look very elegant. Curious where you got your lazy susan from? Could you paint the lazy susan the same color as the wood, so you can fit it with your aesthetic? It was great to also hear all the problems you had and how you fixed them during the building process. Overall, it was a very nice project!
Once again, nice job on your project, it looks great. It was interesting to hear that you overshot your initial budget estimate as well. For future projects, I’d recommend planning the extra money into your budget to account for the roadblocks you cant predict in the initial planning for the project. As discussed at your presentation, paint pens would be a great way to add some extra detail. However, I don’t think it needs anything extra, it looks clean and hits your design aesthetic goal perfectly.
I enjoyed hearing about your inspiration for the project. I love Dim Sum! It also helped to set the stage for your design goals hearing about your main project constraints. You provided a thoughtful discussion on your materials, both in terms of their cost and the limitations you discovered after trying them. I like the small size of the turntable, which would allow multiple of them to reside on a table. Great job!
Hey Tori, I am glad that you are pleased with the way your design turned out. The final product is very clean and I am glad that it is functional within the scope of your project goals, despite the decorative challenges it sounds like you faced. One note: a few of your slides were were bulleted text only and could have used some extra pictures to help illustrate the points you were making. You did a great job illustrating it verbally, and some images would have helped the audience understand the process and challenges you faced.
Great job, seems like there are multiple ways that you could implement the flower design more effectively before expo. Excited to see how it turns out.
I like the look of the wood and the way it contrasts with the white base trim. The stain looks nice. It works great which is awesome. The bucket is a nice addition.
I like how you went back to talk about your contraints and your initial thoughts about the project. The resulting product seems clean and works well. The project was inexpensive and you have completed it on time as well. I was hoping to see some flower design, but perhaps you can put those on a different project. Great job!
Awesome idea! I really like the finished product, stain looks really good and the wood looks very functional. I like how you made a little divot to the wood so there is almost two different spots to place things on the lazy susan. It looks like it works well, should be a nice addition to your house!
I really like the dark finish on the wood and think that the silver cup adds a nice touch! I even like that you put tea bags into the cup to add to the overall aesthetic of the design. Great job!
