  • Great job. I really like the paint splattered CU color design for the roping dummy. It gives the dummy a Boulder cowboy vibe. I liked the size of it too. I have seen a couple wooden ones before at a ranch and the size of yours to theirs was pretty close. If you keep on practicing, maybe someday you will get a chance to rope Ralphie.

This was a very creative idea! I wonder how many professionals have something like this at their house? It turned out to be much more simple than I had first imagined, but still awesome! I wish I could have watched you rope this puppy up during expo!

Cool project. Compared to the existing items on the market, this is certainly is something people would pay a lot of money for. Also, it’s an eye opening project, I didn’t know that this type of thing existed at all, or that there was a market for these.

As for the aesthetic, it came out great. The paint splatter was really nice looking and creative.

I’ve never followed roping before but the intro video was great. I liked how you used the splattered paint as an aesthetic and you let it run over the head. Going with just black and gold worked out well too. I think going with a large variety of colors wouldn’t have fit as well with the overall project. Can’t wait to see how it wheels around.

It was neat to learn about calf roping! Awesome footage. I also enjoyed seeing how you started with two 20 ft poles and transformed it into something so purposeful. Your intentionality in creating a neck with the metal stakes was another fantastic decision. It’s clear that you put a lot of thought and effort into this. Great job!! I am impressed with the way it turned out.

Great project! The design and construction are well planned out and look better than the professional versions. The colors and aesthetics match the product well and look fantastic! Roughening the surface before painting was very smart. The splatter effect is really nice and how you applied it-working around the spray mechanism is great! The wheels are integrated into the project well too. Nice job!
