The living room just got a bit more blokeish. I wanted to upcycle something practical that I could use without needing too much supplies. I spent a bit too much time trying to sew the jersey to the lamp shade before settling for fabric glue (much more practical!) The darker cloth lays a nice dim lighting to the room that is perfect for movie nights and reading. I’m sure the I’ll scare myself a few times when I see this through the window.
I started sketching ideas for my upcycle project. I didn’t have time to go to goodwill, but I got very lucky and found a lamp in the trash can at the EC. Score! I purchased a soccer jersey on depop and was donated a pair of old jeans by a friend. My roommate also let me use his old pair of street shoes, giving me all the material I need to build the perfect BlokeCore Lamp.
