Inspired by the fantasy aesthetic of Genshin Impact, I designed and crafted a floral artifact earring that transforms in-game visuals into a tangible, wearable art piece. Using polymer clay, acrylic paint, and UV resin, I sculpted a delicate flower motif that captures the ornate style of the game’s artifacts. The process involved detailed handcrafting, precise painting for depth and shading, and resin sealing for a polished finish.

This project challenged me to work on a small scale with precision and maintain a high standard of surface quality. It deepened my understanding of texture, color layering, and visual storytelling through object design. The final piece successfully combines fan-inspired creativity with practical fabrication skills and stands as a unique example of aesthetic-driven jewelry design.

For my final project in the Aesthetics of Design course, I transformed a Redragon RGB mechanical keyboard into a space-themed artifact inspired by the vibrant visuals of “No Man’s Sky”. My goal was to merge functionality with a cosmic aesthetic, creating a keyboard that serves both as a gaming tool and a decorative piece. I used hydro dipping techniques to apply swirling galaxy patterns to the keycaps, and I complemented this with a custom-painted casing to enhance the celestial theme. I also programmed the RGB lighting to simulate dynamic space phenomena, adding an immersive layer to the design. Throughout the project, I faced challenges in material selection and aesthetic execution, but I ultimately produced a keyboard that encapsulates the essence of space exploration while maintaining everyday usability.
