My skill sets as an engineer may be unsurprising for many people. I have experiences with machining, coding, electronics, 3D printing, laser cutting, and Solidworks. These are all skills that I have learned in my classes and have practiced in projects and internships. In addition, I have many interpersonal skills from working in customer engineering at Boeing.
Separately from the skills that I have developed though engineering, I consider myself very good at art. I have enjoyed drawing and painting for many years and I am now in this class as well as Art, Design, and Engineering. Through both of these classes, I am learning more about the intersection between art and engineering which is really where I want to work in the future.
My ultimate career goal is to be a Disney Imagineer. I hope to work on projects that challenge me to use engineering to replicate the world around me in an immersive experience. The person who I most admire in the world is Joe Rhode. He is the lead Imagineer for Walt Disney World and has worked on attractions such as Expedition Everest and Pandora. Joe Rhode travels around the world to places such as Nepal to study the ways that they live and uses that information to build an area that replicates their buildings and tells a story about the attraction.
I also hope to someday participate in the reality TV show, Survivor. I am a huge fan of this show and I think that participating would be a challenging a rewarding experience (especially if I win 1 million dollars).
