2″x4″ Wood Frame

I purchased three 2″x4″x8′ pieces of wood from Home Depot. I have cut most of the pieces to length and have begun attaching the columns of mylar disks. I will wait to assemble the frame until all the mylar disk columns have been attached in case my sizing estimate is slightly off.

Mylar Reflective Disks

I have received all of my materials and have assembled the mylar disk columns. I changed the dimensions of the final product to be 10 disks per column resulting in a 10 by 32 pattern. I left the protective coating on the mylar disks which is why some disks appear blue in the photo.

The mylar disks look so pretty and interesting! I’m glad to see how much you’ve already collected material-wise. I can’t wait to see how it turns out! Have you tested to see how much the disks move or have room to move yet?

Hi Alex. Glad to see your progress in ordering materials and planning! Has your design/assembly plan changed at all since the design reviews? I’m looking forward to seeing your end result and good luck constructing your project!
