Some (Sub)Sweet Skills

As both a student of Mechanical Engineering and Technology, Arts, and Media, I feel that I have a rather varied skill set which falls on both sides of the form/function spectrum. I consider myself to be rather proficient in CAD programs, namely SolidWorks and AutoDesk Inventor, but I’m also rather experienced with Adobe Illustrator as well. Given my mechanical engineering background, I have rather robust credentials in the following areas: milling, laser cutting, 3D printing, circuits and electronics, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, soldering, carpentry, and web design and development.

I think one of the strongest skills that I bring to the table is my design ability. I have experience in product design, poster design, and graphic design, and I think that I have a very keen eye for design.

If you require assistance in any of these areas, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.

I might need some Arduino help in the future, good to know you’ve got some experience. I think photoshop is a pretty underrated skill among engineers, so its good to know that someone in the class knows their way around the suite.

  • I have always wanted to learn more in the art of graphic design, specifically Illustrator so I am glad that one of my team members has a strong background in it. You are obviously a well rounded team member and I am glad you are part of my group!
