Final Project Idea – Cardboard Grabber Hands

For my final project idea I decided to focus on the realm of cardboard. There are a plethora of DIY projects where people have taken scrap cardboard and turned them into chairs, couches, art, and even designs with mechanical use. I wanted to create something that I would continue to use outside the class, and the thought came to me from an infomercial for the reach/grabber arms for lazy/old people. I plan to make this design out of cardboard, but fitted for the human hand with actual gripping capability. Once the class is over I can use this to extend my reach, or even incorporate it into a Halloween costume, if I decide to make the hands of the arms huge.
