Final Project Plans And Inspiration

After a lot of thought, I have finally narrowed down to two ideas for my final project, but I’m still undecided about them. I’ve always been fascinated by nature and the outdoors, and I’m also really passionate about music. So, I wanted my project to be either one of these interests.

My first idea is to create a vertical garden clock. I want to combine a minimalist aesthetic with a nature-inspired theme. I haven’t quite figured out how the clock will look, but I know that I want to surround it with plants to create a vertical garden effect. I think it would be cool to have a clock that also doubles as a piece of art and brings a bit of nature into indoor spaces.

The second idea is to create a ‘Jali’ architecture-inspired music box. Jali originated in the 14th century in India and can be predominantly seen used in structures built by ancient Indo-Muslim empires.

I think the intricate designs and patterns of the Jali style would look amazing on the housing of a music box. I’ve already found a music mechanism online that’s affordable, and I plan to make the housing from laser-cut wood.

Both of these ideas have their pros and cons, and I’m having a hard time choosing between them. I’m trying to weigh the practical aspects of each project, such as the cost, availability of materials, and the level of skill required to complete them. I also want to consider which idea would be more enjoyable and fulfilling to work on.

In the end, I hope to choose a project that not only showcases my interests and passions but also challenges me creatively and allows me to learn new skills. I’m excited to finalize my decision and get started on my final project!
